Here at Joe Lamb Jr., & Associates and Associates we sponsor a lot of events--we think itâåÛåªs one the things good corporate citizens do and we love our home on the Outer Banks. All of the events we participate in we really enjoy, but there are always one or two favorites.
The Duck & Wine Festival is definitely one of those favorites.
ItâåÛåªs a simple concept. Get the best chefs on the Outer Banks together, tell them every dish they create must feature duck, pair those dishes with wine, place the event on on the town of DuckâåÛåªs boardwalk--actually the Waterfront Shops on the north end of the boardwalk--and voila . . . the perfect event!
And it doesnâåÛåªt hurt if the weather is perfect. Which it was for the event yesterday.
It all goes to a good cause--in this case the Currituck-Dare Community Foundation--which works with local community based nonprofits to help fund their missions.
The event is usually the last weekend in April, which is another reason to visit in the shoulder season.
