FULL-TIME GUEST SERVICES MANAGER - Successful candidates should possess an extensive knowledge of the Outer Banks vacation rental and hospitality business, present a professional image, have strong negotiating, organizational, and social skills, and be well adept at building successful, positive relationships. Schedules may vary and weekends/holidays are required. This is a full-time, 40 hours a week and five days weekly salaried position with some overtime to be expected to fulfill this position. The candidate should also possess an active NC Real Estate Broker’s License and at least two or more years of vacation rental experience. They should be proficient in time management, and computer skills (Microsoft Office, Track & Kaba) and have reliable transportation with an active NC driver’s license. Local residents preferred (remote work is limited). Company benefits are offered after 30 days of employment (health insurance) and a company retirement match of up to 3% after 90 days of employment. Joe Lamb offers paid sick & vacation leave as well. The Guest Services Manager will report to the Assistant General Manager and General Manager; they will be expected to detail daily tasks as pending or completed to keep management involved and informed of guest issues. Our Guest Services Managers handle compensation requests, complaints, and guest transfers. A positive attitude is a must to provide guests with the best customer service in every situation. PART-TIME VACATION RENTAL CLEANING SPECIALIST – The In-House Cleaner position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of vacation rental properties to ensure a welcoming environment for guests. Duties include thoroughly cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas, restocking household supplies, and reporting maintenance issues as needed. Must have reliable transportation, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail. Prior cleaning experience is preferred but not required—training is provided! Must be available to work weekends and holidays during peak season.
FULL-TIME MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR- This position is an integral part of the services our company offers to its guests and homeowners. It requires a person with specific skills and abilities, including excellent customer service by listening, interpreting, and communicating verbally and in writing. Great organizational skills with the ability to multi-task with efficiency and accuracy. Basic knowledge and understanding of home repair in order to assist guests and homeowners with maintenance issues. Multi-tasking within multiple software applications and some previous experience with property management software is a plus. Weekends are a requirement for this position. We offer a benefits package that includes cost-share health insurance, paid vacation, and a 401K savings plan.
SEASONAL COTTAGE INSPECTORS—We are hiring cottage inspectors from June through October. Inspectors must ensure furnishings and households are in order for arrivals. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a smartphone. The skill set should include the ability to walk flights of stairs and report findings to the office. We offer a competitive wage. Candidates must work Saturday or Saturday and Sunday.
FULL-TIME/PART-TIME SEASONAL RUNNER - The Runner position will assist in the housekeeping/maintenance needs of all properties. Job will consist of a wide variety of tasks that will help to support the guest operations team. A runner will be called upon to deliver items, conduct essential property inspections, and perform routine light maintenance duties. You must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a smartphone. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be willing to work Saturday-Monday.
FULL-TIME/PART-TIME ASSISTANT CLEANING COORDINATOR - We are looking for a cleaning coordinator to work directly with housekeeping providers to ensure standards of cleanliness and sanitation for vacation rental homes. Experience in overseeing housekeeping staff or coordinating crews that clean hotels/vacation rental homes or a similar role is preferred but not required. Good organizational and communication skills are a must as well as the ability to multi-task with efficiency and accuracy. Computer skills are required and previous experience with property management software is also a plus. This position involves answering phones, emailing guests and homeowners, and interacting with vendors, guests, and homeowners. Must be willing to work weekends and be flexible to overtime hours if requested.
