Golf is a favorite sport of Outer Banks locals and vacationers and fittingly so, history has a way of making the OBX interestingly linked to so many pastimes. This centuries old pastime began on the east coast of Scotland when players hit small stones across sand dunes and around the natural open spaces of land. The courses here on North Carolinas east coast are tucked within sand dunes and maritime woods. The courses we have listed here are open to the public and are some of North Carolina's top-ranked courses.
