Here's something a little bit different to do. The Outer Banks Women's Club is holding there 43rd Annual Senior Arts and Crafts Show on Wednesday and Thursday August 3 and 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at The Baum Center in Kill Devil Hills.
The OBWC has been around for 45 years so the Senior Arts and Crafts Show has been going strong almost as long as they have.
It will be a little bit of everything at the show, so much so that it's a little bit tough to predict exactly what will be there. There are always some great gift items, some artwork and toys, but what this is really about is giving back to the community.
An organization that has made it its mission to give back to the community by supporting the arts, conservation, education, home life, international outreach and public issues through volunteer support and funding.
Admission is $1.00, children 12 and under are free. Proceeds from the show benefit scholarships and community projects.
