It looks to be a great weekend of entertainment on the Outer Banks. The big show is the annual Womanless Beauty Pageant at KellyâåÛåªs Outer Banks Tavern in Nags Head. The concept is simple . . . men dress up as women, sell tickets with the sales donated to the charity of their choice and the queen of the gala is whoever sells the most tickets.
What the men prove is they are generous of spirit, compassionate and they make horrible women. But it is a lot of fun.
The other big event is Legally Blond the play being performed by the students of First Flight High School Thursday and Friday evening with a Saturday matinee. The students have a well-deserved reputation for exceeding expectations in their productions. This is one of the most challenging ones they have taken on, but it looks like a winner.
The other event that looks like a lot of fun is Thursday--thatâåÛåªs tomorrow night. The local roller derby team, the KIll Devil Brigrade, is holding a âåÛåÏMeet Your Roller Derby LeagueâåÛå at Plaza Azeteca in Kill Devil Hills from 7-10. TheyâåÛåªre a great group of people and the event will be a lot of fun.
