Here at Joe Lamb Jr., & Associates & Associates we try to stay on top of what's happening on the Outer Banks and let our readers know about every event that we can. And we think we do a pretty good job, but every once in a while an happening slips through that we miss.That's the case with the 2nd Annual Frostivus at Zen Pops in Kitty Hawk this Friday from 5-9.The event is a benefit for the Outer Banks Community Foundation-the local organization that contributes so much to Outer Banks life that we can't possibly list all that it does here.The event itself includes a sitting with Santa Claus with Mary Basnight taking the pics. That does cost $40 per family. Mary is one of the finest Outer Banks photographers around and from what we heard the photos she took last year were amazing. We should also mention that Santa is coming from the North Pole via the town of Duck and the Santa that comes through that village is the best we have seen.The event also includes local vendors and artisans with their wares on display.Best of the best though, are Crystal Swain's Zen Pops and ice cream sandwiches which are amazing! All natural with wonderful flavors, they taste decadent but are actually good for you.And it gets even better. Located at Zen Pops is the magic of chocolatier Chris Carol owner of Sweater Box Confections. OK . . . her concoctions are decadent. Who cares! They are worth every decadent calorie of every bite.
