We rent Windishores twice a year in May and October. We think it’s the best place in the Outer Banks.

Windishores is a treasure to discover on the Outer Banks if you have not been lucky enough to stay there yet! It is perfect for small families and anyone who enjoys staying in one of the cottages built in or before the 1950's. This is the best equipped home that I have rented in the OBX…and the deck is phenomenal- there are spots to sit when it is very windy and you are sheltered from the rain. Thank you for the experience. I will rent this home again in the future-if available!

We found 492 to be perfect for two adults with small children. The property is well maintained and the amenities are up to date. I believe it important to rest after a day at the beach and the sleeping amenities ensured a good night rest.

Well furnished home. We really enjoyed the covered porch and furniture. You will not find another OBX rental as close to the oceanfront! Would definitely stay here again. Eating in the dining room you feel like you are on the beach!

Was so impressed at the cleanliness of this home. The kitchen was fully stocked. The beds were amazingly comfortable. We loved the large gated deck. Enjoyed the convenience of only 30 steps to the beach where we set up our beach chairs each day. Will definitely plan to return to this charming rental next year!

Very cozy and very comfortable with with up to date appliances and overall upgrades to interior. Excellent views on that great ocean front porch sunrise to sunset.
Beach access was basically the back yard, which we adored.

This was our second time staying at Windishores. It is exceptionally clean and we loved having the included linen package. The kitchen is fully stocked and had everything needed to cook meals. The charcoal grill was brand new, which we appreciated, and the new outside shower is huge! Great house for a small family or two couples.

It's the perfect cottage for a couple, a small family or a sisters week! The cottage sits right on the beach, with Excellent views!! We especially Love the covered deck and being able to sit there without getting any sun. Also, Lovely view of the sunrise. We are already counting the days til we return in 2021😊 CG& TE

WIndishores is the perfect beach house. It is fully equipped with a new washer/dryer, comfortable king and queen beds as well as bunk beds. It was extremely clean upon arrival. The appliances are amazing....large ice making fridge.
The kitchen is fully equipped with every utensil you could ever need. We loved the deck overlooking the ocean. It was our happy place. Would definitely rent again.

The views were awesome, the bed was the best we have ever slept on, which made everything else we did great. There is nothing better than a good night sleep on vacation. Something that is normally rare. This rental was very clean upon our arrival and we had no maintenance issues. I would reccomend this property to anyone seeking a stay in Kitty Hawk area.

We loved Windishores! It was so cozy and nicely updated, and the deck and captain's chairs were where we spent all of our time. The kitchen was fully stocked. You can't beat walking down the steps and right onto the sand!

I highly recommend this beach house. The recent renovation is beautiful. The hammock was one of our house highlights for relaxation. The high adirondack chairs make it perfect for watching the beautiful sunrises and staring out into the ocean watching the dolphins. The washer and dryer are a huge plus and very convenient. We can't wait to get back next year and were sad to leave that little slice of paradise.
