Beach Nourishment

Beach nourishment projects are necessary for preserving our community. Currently, beach nourishment activities are occurring in Nags Head and South Nags Head. Follow along with the progress by visiting https://www.darenc.gov/government/beach-nourishment/upcoming-projects.

Future projects are planned for Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, and Kill Devil Hills in 2027. Depending on the timing and location of your stay, beach conditions, access, project activities may vary and are subject to change without notice.

This beach property was perfect for our family and friends.
There are amazing veiws of ocean and Currituck sound. We watched the moonrise over the ocean and the sunset over the sound. Backyard was convenietly fenced and had chairs. The driveway is wide and set back from the main road. We played pickleball and basketball in the driveway

This property was beautiful and so relaxing! The home was perfect and with all of the amenities we could've asked for to make the stay complete. The fenced yard was a nice addition as we brought our Labrador retriever who was able to enjoy her first beach stay at this home! It was a great place to play with her outside after her daily beach swims/shower with the hose so that she could dry off before coming inside to sleep off her day!

We enjoyed this home. We particularly liked all of the different and separate spaces for privacy. We also enjoyed the location and walked to the pier for dinner at Fish Heads a couple of times. Loved the views and how close it is to the beach.

We enjoyed this home. We love to cook and loved how the kitchen was supplied with everything needed - especially the sharp knives. Dull knives are a pet peeves of mine and I always bring a sharp knife with me. It wasn't needed this time. We particularly liked all of the different and separate spaces for privacy. We also enjoyed the location and walked to the pier for dinner at Fish Heads a couple of times. Loved the views and how close it is to the beach.
